PHS NHS Initiation
November 15, 2007
Princeton High School initiated 17 new members to their National Honor Society Chapter on November 11th. Current member Aaron Kaufmann was Master of Ceremonies. Lucy Nelson read the history of the National Honor Society. Explaining the four NHS Qualities of Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character were Laura Krabill, Elizabeth Hult, Kyle Burrows and Ada Kunkel. In charge of the candle lighting ceremony and the introduction of the new members were Kelly Johnson, Tyler Swanlund and Madelyn Stephens. Ken Saunders led the new members in the NHS Pledge.
Mrs. Polowy NHS Advisor then read the Roll Call of members. Principal Schmidt concluded the ceremony with brief remarks on leadership. New Senior Members included Patrick Brand, Sean Castner, Paige Harrison, Dan Hartsough, Matt Holland, Wyatt Lind, Jaimie Pearson, and Michael Thompson. New Junior members included Abby Beneke, Amanda Corban, Fatima Imtairah, Brooke Mueller, Kolton Reeverts, Kaitlyn Ribar, Sarah Schlund, Leah Shaw, and Luke Zehr. A desert reception was held after the initiation.
