National Honor Society
On Tuesday November 29, 2011 Princeton High School inducted 14 new members in to the National Honor’s Society. In order to be eligible for consideration, students must be an 11th or 12th grader, must have been in attendance at Princeton High School for at least one year, and achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.25. A five-member, faculty council reviewed the students that wanted to be considered and elected the new members based on outstanding criteria in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership and character.
The previously inducted 2010-2011 Senior NHS members conducted the traditional candle-lighting ceremony with Kavita Patel as Master of Ceremonies. Awarding the new members in the auditorium were Principal Barb Schmidt and NHS Advisor Tameran Polowy.
Princeton High School is pleased to announce that the
2011-2012 Senior inductees were: Brittany Bejster, Southern Lee Foster, Zachary Holmbeck, Christy Joehl, Matthew Murphy, Samuel Schlesinger, and Matthew VanDenBussche.
The 2011-2012 Junior inductees were: Andrew Birkey, Kayla Fawcett, Kathryn Krieger, Kate Morrow, Katherine Pranka, Genevieve Prushinski, and Emmalee Sears.
Other 2010-2011 NHS Senior Members that were present and participated in the ceremony included Allison Jensen, Sarah Peterson, Leah Poss, and Michael Zearing.
Following the ceremony, a time of celebration and fellowship over a dessert banquet was held in the cafeteria to honor the new members and their families.
